How to use Recipe Portion Scaler

Scale a recipe

Enter the original and desired servings, then add ingredient quantities, units and names. Use Try sample to see a working example. Quantities support decimals, fractions and mixed fractions. Exact mode preserves fractions; other display modes mark rounding as approximate.

Download or reset

Download recipe saves a text file on your device. Invalid servings or no ingredient rows disable the download. Unrecognized quantity text is left unchanged for you to review. Reset clears the working recipe. There is no automatic saving.

Check before cooking

Units stay as entered; this tool does not convert weight to volume. Time, temperature and nonnumeric instructions need your review. Do not scale cooking time or temperature just by multiplying servings.
